Abstract
Digital holography is a technique in which an interference fringe pattern called a “hologram” is captured by a digital camera, and then it is reconstructed by calculating the Fresnel diffraction integral on a computer. Recently, many kinds of holographic applications, such as holographic interferometry, threedimensional display, and microscopy, are being investigated in many fi elds. This paper reviews recent progress in digital holography and introduces some developments for industrial applications.
