Multispectral imaging has been used in a wide verity of industrial as well as research applications. With expanding use of it, methods and devices of multispectral imaging have also advanced. This article reviews multispectral imaging methods from conventional to recently-proposed one, which have developed toward the realization of one-shot imaging or compact imaging systems. In addition, spectral image acquisition methods which require spectrum reconstruction process are introduced. As one of such methods, hybrid-resolution spectral imaging method is explained in detail with experimental results.
