In the Special Project for Earthquake Disaster Mitigation in Urban Area, which is called 'DAI-DAI-TOKU', integrated disaster simulation systems are developed. One useful application of these simulation systems is risk-communication, in which local governments and citizens share information of risks. In this paper, the requirements and subjects are discussed to carry out risk-communication (RC) with disaster simulation systems. We also report a case of RC to show the usefulness of simulations.
The society is increasing the complexity. It is a complexity according to treated object and regulations system, etc. In such a situation,the construction of a variety of management systems are needed. Quality management, environmental management, risk management, and internal control management, etc. Because the object that the management system treats is complex, the information system to support it is needed. It is necessary to arrange a complex concept to the construction of the information system, and to share the concept among parties concerned. Moreover, the arrangement, sharing, and recycling information and knowledge according to the operation of the information system should be possible. In this paper, it proposes the method of constructing the construction of the information system that supports the management system by using the ontology technology.
In the small and medium manufacturing industry, it is difficult to employ the professional IT engineer, so many manufacturing engineer have to cover the IT area business. These manufacturing industry require the course of education of IT engineer. We have held that course for a few years. In this course, each member are able to learn basic skill about IT, but they want to learn more sophisticated technology. Currently, we are under examination about new method.
