Procedures for determination of vitamin B_<12> in bile materials were improved, and considerable amounts of vitamin B_<12> activity which is alkali labile were found in human, hog and ox bile. Therefore, it is proposed that bile-feces constitutes an important route of excretion of this vitamin.
