This symposium is planned jointly by SJST Secretariat, the Curriculum Study Committee and the International Exchange Committee of the Society. In addition, it is also a part of researches by two study teams, i.e. Shogo Kawakami and Shunsuke Kumano, both supported by Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
