A new function of “Michi-no-Eki” as “transportation hubs” that connect various modes of transportations has been proposed. The authors have developed a method to quantitatively evaluate the “facility available” of a Michi-no-Eki as a transportation hub based on users' intentions, but the impact of the improvement of facility available on user behavior such as transportation hub selection has not yet been clarified. In this study, the improvement of facility available was defined as a factor that increases utility in route selection, and analyzed the relationship with monetary and time cost based on a questionnaire survey of users. In the results that all methods applied to real network, some Michi-no-Eki with high facility available may be selected as transportation hubs.
