Abstract

During the past 2 years 10 months, we treated 95 patients of temporomandibular arthrosis and analysed their laboratory findings at the first medical examination.

Blood examinations were performed about 80 cases. There were 72 cases (90.0%) in RBC, 69 (87.3%) in WBC and 51(64.6%) in Hb within normal limits. Moderate acceleration of erythrocyte sedimentation was observed in 24.6% and abnormal findings of urine examination in ten percent of cases.

Immuno-serological examinations were carried out on 80 cases. CRP was positive in 8 cases (10.0%), RA in 2(2.5%) and ASL-O in 3(3.7%). Four patients who had ever suffered from rheumatism were all negative in these examinations.

From above statistical study, we could not find relation between genesis of the disease and systemic disorders in our series.
