Mycological investigations on a strain carrying thiaminase II, demonstrated that it was closely related to Candida parapsilosis. This strain requires thiamine essencially for the growth. Though the decision whether this strain is a new species or not, needs further investigations, the author name this strain tentatively Yonezawa-Nishio's Candida.
