Abstract
We investigated in hypertensive diabetic rats the contributions of endothelium derived hyperpolarization (EDH) and nitric oxide to the maintenance of coronary perfusion and conduction of vasodilation to distal microvessels utilizing synchrotron microangiography. We found that both fasudil and combined fasudil-losartan treatment improved EDH and nitric oxide mediated microvessel dilation.
