Abstract

Hongucho, where known as flood prone area, was damaged by Flood caused by typhoon12 in 2011. Especially, people in Hagi-district evacuated from place to place for four times during the flood period. This study researches the people's responses through an interview survey and revealed the situation at that time. They had to decide their responses with restricted disaster information due to power failure, no contact tools, and street close-off. However, they laid their heads together and took self-help actions.
