Abstract
The treatment of hydrocephalus by employing a ventricurovenous shunt tube has been reported by Robert H. Pudenz, M.D. (1957). For the past two years, we have utilized such a tube for the conservative treatment of hydrocephalus and inoperable brain tumor.
Thirteen cases were selected for surgical treatment and the Pudenz Heyer tube was employed in 11 cases, the Holter tube in 1 case and one of Japanese design in 1 case.
These cases were operated at Juntendo Univ. in surgical department during the period from January, 1960 to July, 1961.
