In mountainous areas, there is an increasing need for residents to engage in new forms of mutual assistance activities to support local life. However, the implementation of these activities heavily relies on the residents' motivation for cooperation, meaning they cannot be initiated immediately. This study investigates the impact of individual characteristics on residents' motivation for cooperation. Additionally, it focuses on strategic initiatives designed to maintain the community as a key factor in enhancing this motivation. The aim is to understand how much these initiatives can boost the motivation for participating in mutual assistance activities.
