In this study, the effect factors of passenger car equivalent values (PCE) for heavy vehicle at signalized intersections are analyzed based on field observations. Particularly, this study focused on the road geometric designs as turning radius and turning angles as well as the traffic characteristics as the proportion of heavy vehicles and semi-trailers. As a result, the traffic characteristics are effective for PCE, and the calculation models of PCE using the proportion of heavy vehicles were proposed.
