Track driving tests for toll gate models have been conducted to investigate the traffic capacities for three types of toll gate control system i. e., a manned control system, an unmanned control system and an unmanned non-control system.
The difference of traffic capacities between three types of toll gates is clarified and a method to estimate the traffic capacity of an unmanned non-control system is proposed for the design of toll gates.
