Abstract
In the development of a mechanical Atkinson cycle engine, a lightweight, compact sliding mechanism with high resistance to seizure was necessitated. The design was fundamentally based on a sliding bearing as its primary structure. Subsequently, the optimal profile of the sliding surface was acquired. This refinement led to a reduction in local surface pressure during operation, thereby enhanced seizure resistance.
