Abstract
Newly developed high performance EDLCs are in the midst of the growing expansion of applications to HEVs and other power systems. However, the lack of optimal performance measurement methods corresponding to increasingly complicated characteristics of new EDLCs prevents easy application engineering. Therefore, following the 1st report, various experimental and theoretical analysis for new high performance EDLCs were performed. As a result, optimal testing methods for measurement and evaluation of new EDLCs were successfully established to reveal their capacitance, available energy capacity, internal resistance, charge/discharge efficiency, etc.
