Abstract
Equilibrium phase relationships for the pseudo-ternary systems Bi2O3-PbO-CaO and Bi2O3-PbO-SrO at 873K and 1073K in air have been studied mainly by the powder X-ray diffraction method. At 1073K, the regions of liquid or liquid plus solids were determined in the both systems. In these systems we found two new solid solutions ( α and β ) and two new compounds ( Bi8Pb7Ca2Ox and Bi8Pb9Sr3Ox ). Two new compositions Bi3Ca2Ox and Bi11Pb4Ox were proposed instead of Bi10Ca7O22 and Bi3PbOx already reported, respectively.
