Abstract
In order to produce a methodology on the design of effective work groups, we study an operational method to manipulate each of the three structural elements, i. e. worker, task and supervisior. The suggested method is based upon the idea that each element is able to be defined as a facet of work group in the multidimensional scale. This paper presents some task characteristics of the manufacturing work groups and illustrates the criteria to evaluate the state of task's attributes and the relation between task and worker toward improving job satisfaction and work performance.
