Abstract
In the recent situation of low economic development, competition amogn companies is becoming sever. Under these circumstances, companies must consider not only the quantitative but also the qualitative sevice when they discuss the problems of minimizing cost or maximizing profit. As for inventory problem, especially when taking account of fresh products or process foods, the quality of commodities has become an important factor as well as the amount of their inventory. From these point of view, this paper discusses the optimal ordering and optimal selling price discounting policies with respect to perishable commodities.
