Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the influence of jumboization of the office buildings in an urban structure and the surrounding areas. In analysis, intended data is the super large-sized office buildings as more than 100,000 square meters floor space that increased rapidly after 1990's in core five wards of Tokyo. As a result of analysis, it became clear that jumboization of the office buildings have two influences on an urban internal structure. One is reconcentration effect of the office location in the metropolitan area. Another is polarization effect of office location in the downtown area. Therefore, it is concluded that some location policy about a super large-sized office building are necessary.
