A patient with pulmonary tuberculosis and a right lower guadrant mass, demonstrated by barium enema to be narrowing of the proximal ascending colon and cecum, was found to have an ulcerohypertrophic lesion at the cending colon by colonoscopic examination. Multiple biopsies through the ulcerated area showed Langhans' giant cells and acid-fast bacilli with absence of granulomas. Colonoscopy is another method obtaining the definite diagnosis of colonic tuberculosis as well as distinguishing other neoplastic or inflammatory diseases involving this area.
