Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the potential of open spaces as workplaces from a knowledge creation perspective at the Osaka Business Park (OBP). The study consisted of a field survey of seating space at outdoor configuration in September 2022. In November of the same year, a questionnaire survey was conducted about worker usage. The results showed that OBP has many comfortable seating arrangements and a medium green environment, and that workers place importance on environmental factors such as greenery and landscaping. Next, to explore environmental factors that contribute to knowledge creation, an experiment was conducted in the field using a mind map. It was found that a moderate landscape with green visibility of approximately 10-40% was effective for knowledge creation.
