In this paper, the authors applied the text mining technique to the messages in the doodling books which the visitors of the “Hattouji Sansou” cottage in Yoshinaga town, Okayama prefecture, wrote down during 1993-2003. We do not have paid enough attention to doodling book as object of analysis until now. By the text mining technique, we can grasp the visitors' needs toward this accommodation. This paper made clear the potential advantages that this accommodation has and also pointed out an improvement direction that the advantages of this cottage are made fully use of.
