Abstract
The author participated in planning process of the community located in Kita-ku, Kobe as a planning adviser in 2002. In the course of planning, I executed a questionnaire survey on rural-urban exchange to the city dwellers. Based on the results from the survey, we made clear that there is a wide difference of expectation between city dwellers' side and rural community side on the rural-urban exchanges. Moreover, we investigated the needs of the city dwellers in order to examine the desirable course of exchange actions for this community.
