The purpose of this study is to make clear the excellent rural landscape by using Japanese modern-contemporary landscape painting. In this paper we analyzed next two points. One is about the elements and the characteristic of expression, the other is about the close range view in the landscape painting. As a result, we found the following characteristic, 1) Natural elements is pointed more compared with man-made elements. 2) The close range view is emphasized in the frame of the painting.
