Abstract
In this paper, we studied the points that should be considered both when abandoned farmland is restored to farmland and utilized as biotope, taking up five examples in Kinki district. The following three points were evident from the hearing of each example:
1) select abandoned farmland with the characteristic that is suitable for the objects of use from the point of the location
2) secure talented men who are highly motivated
3) balance revenue and expenditure economically, by planning expenditure in case of the absence of the government support
