Abstract
The object of this study is the establishment of the estimation methods of urban space form by remote sensing data. In this paper, the relationship between Landsat TM data and shade distribution by buildings was investigated by survey and simulation for urban space model. In the three or more storied building areas, the coefficient of correlation between the building coverage and the average of CCT counts of Band 4, 5, 6 or 7 was a negative value. The three or more storied building areas exhibited higher standard deviations of CCT counts than one or two storied building areas. And, these results of survey were theoreticaly substantiated by simulation.
